29جون2009ء کو برنارڈ میڈوف کو 150سال کے لئے جیل بھیج دیا گیا۔لمحہ بھر کے لئے آئیے دیکھیں آخر اُس کا منصوبہ تھا کیا جس کا نتیجہ یہ نکلا کہ  اُس پر سرمایہ کاری کرنے والوں کے 50ارب ڈالر ڈوب گئے جس کو وال سٹریٹ کا سب سے بڑا فراڈ کہا جاتا ہے۔


برنارڈ میڈوف امریکہ کا نواز شریف تھا۔ اُس کے دو بیٹے تھے مارک میڈوف(حسن نواز) اور اینڈی میڈوف(حسین نواز)۔رُوتھ میڈوف(کلثوم نواز) اُس کی بیوی تھی۔


اپنی  سکیم کی دھوکہ دہی کا اُس نے اقرار کرلیا جس نے اُس پر سرمایہ کاری کرنے والوں کو پچاس ارب ڈالر سے محروم کردیا۔ اس دھوکہ دہی کو وال سٹریٹ کی تاریخ کی سب سے بڑی دھوکہ دہی سمجھا جاتا ہے جس پر اُس کو 150قید کی سزا دی گئی۔


اِس دھوکہ دہی پر اُس کے خاندان کو پوری سوسائٹی کی طرف سے بائیکاٹ کا سامنا کرنا پڑا۔اُس کے بچوں نے بھی ماں باپ سے علیحدگی اختیار کر لی۔ جیل کی سزا کاٹنے والے خاوند کی  بیوی نےملاقات کے لئے جیل جانا چھوڑ ۔ایک بیٹا خود کشی کرتے ہوئے پھندے پر جھول گیا۔دوسرا بیٹا کینسر کے ہاتھوں مر گیا مگرمرتے دم تک باپ سے نہیں ملا۔


گئے وقتوں میں وال سٹریٹ کا بادشاہ کہلوانے والا برنارڈ میڈوف زندگی بھر کے لئے جیل میں سڑ رہا ہے اور اُس نے کبھی جیل میں اپنے خاندان کے کسی فرد کی آواز تک نہیں سنی۔ اُس کے پورے خاندان نے جیل میں اُس سے ملاقات کرنے سے انکار کر دیا ہے۔


مگروہ ہے امریکہ جہاں کرپشن کو گناہ سمجھا جاتا ہےجسے نہ سوسائٹی قبول کرتی ہے نہ کوئی ادارہ معاف کرتا ہے۔


یہ پاکستان ہےجہاں کرپشن کے بادشاہ زرداری اور شریف خاندان نے 40سال سے لوٹ مار کا بازار گرم کررکھا ہے اور لوگ نہ صرف اُن کی اطاعت کرتے ہیں، انہیں ووٹ دیتے ہیں، اُن کا دفاع کرتے ہیں بلکہ اُن کی اگلی نسلوں کی خدمت گذاری پر بھی کمر بستہ ہیں۔


یہ پاکستان ہے جہاں  ادارے اتنے کمزور ہیں کہ ایک مسلمہ طور کرپٹ شریف خاندان اداروں کی نہ صرف تضحیک کرتا ہے بلکہ اُن کا منہ چڑاتا ہے۔


یہی فرق ہے مہذب اور غیر مہذب معاشرے کا۔ یہی فرق ہے ایک قوم   کااور ایک انسانی غول کا۔


ہم بھی چاہتے ہیں کہ اُس کا بیٹا  پھندے سے لٹک جائے،ہم چاہتے ہیں کہ اُس کی بیٹی بھی شرم سے منہ چھپاتی پھرے، ہماری آرزو ہے کہ اس کے پورے خاندان کو کینسر ہوجائے۔ہماری خواہش ہے کہ ہمارا معاشرہ بھی اُس کے خاندان کا بائیکاٹ کرے۔ہم بھی نواز شریف کو 150سال کے لئے اڈیالہ جیل کی سلاخوں کے پیچھے دیکھنا چاہتے ہیں۔ہم چاہتے ہیں کہ کاش اُس کے بیٹے اپنے مجرم باپ کی جیل میں ملاقات سے منکر ہو جائیں۔کاش ہم بھی دیکھیں کہ اُس کی بیوی ملاقات کے لئے جیل جانے سے انکار کر دے۔مگر پیارے یہ پاکستان ہے امریکہ نہیں۔جس دن میرے خواب کو تعبیر مل گئی ہم بھی امریکہ بن جائیں گے۔

On June 29, 2009, Bernard L. Madoff was sentenced to 150 years in prison. Let's take a moment to understand how his scheme worked. The end result, of course, is that Madoff created up to an estimated $50 billion of losses for investors — said to be the biggest fraud committed in the history of Wall.


Bernie Madoff is American version of Nawaz Sharif. He had two sons Mark Madoff (Hassan Nawaz) and Andy Madoff ( Hussain Nawaz) and wife Ruth Madoff ( Kulsum Nawaz).


After confession of his Ponzi scheme which deprived investors over 50 billion $, largest ever fraud in the history of Wall Street, he was sentenced to 150 years in jail.


His family faced a social boycott from entire community. All family members went into hiding. Sons left their mother & father, Wife stopped visiting and taking calls of his imprisoned husband, one son committed suicide by hanging himself, second son died of cancer and he never met his father till death.


Bernie Madoff who was once king of Wall Street is in jail for rest of his life and without ever listened voice of any of his family member. All his family refused to visit him in jail.


This is America where corruption is a sin which neither society accepts nor institutions forgive.


This is Pakistan where the corruption Kings Zardari and Sharifs have looted this country for past 40 years, yet society follows them, vote them, defends them and even serve their next generation.


This is Pakistan where institutions are so weak that a proven corrupt family ridicule and challenges institutions and public watch and institutions shy away from tough actions.


This is the difference between a civilised society and uncivilised society. This is a difference between a nation and a herd.


We want to see his son hanging himself, we want to see his daughter hiding with shame, we want to see cancer gripping this family, we want to see society social boycotting this family, we want to see Nawaz with 150 years of imprisonment at Adiala Jail, we want to see his sons refuse to see their criminal father in jail, we want to see his wife refusing to visit his husband in jail but this is Pakistan and not America. The day my dream fulfilled, we will become America.
