Air pollution is an invisible killer that lurk all around us. It unnoticeably pass through body’s defenses and is responsible in causation of death due to hearth attack, strokes, lung diseases and cancer.
According to WHO, due to air pollution about 24% deaths occur due to strokes, 25% due to heart failure and 43% due to lung diseases and cancer as a result of inhalation of pollutants such as sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, particulate matter and ozone.
These pollutants passes deep into lungs passageways and then enter in blood stream causing cardiovascular, cerebrospinal and respiratory issues.
So to minimize the risk of ambient (out door) air pollution reduce the use transportation and encourage cycling and walking within urbane range, minimize burning of coal and other environmental pollutants and always use face masks whenever you are stepping outside from your houses.
